Why The Show

A Timely Sourcing Platform for International Buyers in April 2022

MEGA SHOW-Bangkok, to be staged in April, 2022, presents an exceptional sourcing opportunity for regional and global buyers during their peak buying season.

The COVID-19 pandemic since early 2020 has greatly disrupted the trade shows in China and Hong Kong, leading to a sourcing and supply gap of commodities in global market for the many coming months. This Bangkok show in April 2022 sets to be a timely trade fair to capture the huge pent-up buying demand among many ready-to-purchase international buyers from the west world, ASEAN, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Capturing the RCEP’s Opportunities

The RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership), the world’s largest free trade deal agreement, will come into effect in January 2022 to present tremendous business opportunities for Asian suppliers with the zero-tariff advantage to further penetrate into the global market.

The RCEP is a free trade agreement (FTA) between the 10 member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) and its six FTA partners (Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand and Republic of Korea). The agreement will eliminate tariffs on at least 92% of the goods in the region over a period of 20 years.
